KidsAid Denmark (Danish NGO)

KidsAid Denmark is a Danish NGO focused on giving sick and underprivileged children a better start to life. I managed a team of 4 employees and a board of C-level executives to grow revenue and implement strategic plans in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner.

Furthermore I worked in close collaboration with various top national companies to identify, design and implement alliances that leverage the strengths of the corporate sector on behalf of the sick children.

Key results
  • Increased revenue by 260% from FY 2011/2012 to FY 2014/2015
  • Envisioned and executed one of the most successful digital fundraising campaigns in Denmark - leading to over 750.000 kr. in donations
  • Created unique and innovative digital content for CSR-partners - increasing the awareness for their partnerships by over 40% compared to previous efforts
  • Established several new CSR-partnerships creating long-term, integrated and multi-faceted collaborations, which include both traditional and innovative solutions – accumulating to over 2.5 million kroner in revenue (compared to previous record of 500.000 kr.)

NSG is one of Scandinavia's leading media agencies within brand activation, sponsorships and digital media activation. NSG represents and manages some of the nordics’s greatest sports figures and icons; and are experts in bringing digital media and technology together with brand activation to consumers across various platforms.

I worked with our biggest client Caroline Wozniacki, where I designed strategic partnerships and executed digital brand activation. Moreover I was responsible for digital media planning, buying and development; from conceptual idea development to creative production and technical execution across digital platforms.

Key results
  • Designed and executed brand activation concepts and ensured ongoing communication with Caroline Wozniacki’s sponsors (such as Rolex, Turkish Airlines, Sony Ericcsson, Danske Invest)
  • Created and managed WTA-player Caroline Wozniacki website and social media profiles - leading to over 750.000 fans on Facebook and 300.000 followers on Twitter
  • Created several websites and content for WTA tennis tournaments; engaging visitors in unique content, increasing unique visitors and total visits-, interactions per visit and conversion rates (ticket sales)
  • Implemented and activated brand activation and digital sponsorship concepts for $700.000 ATP and WTA tennis tournaments such as e-Boks Sony Ericsson Open (Denmark), Porsche Tennis Grand Prix (Germany) and Legg Mason Tennis Classic (USA)

My Story

My passion is marketing in a digital world, and as the days of traditional marketing campaigns are ending, I look forward to being a part of a new era, where marketing will be more about using data, interactivity with empowered customers, micro-moments and new customer decision journeys.


I come from a very international background both genetically and educationally. I was born by a Danish mother and Vietnamese father and spent the first years of my life in Denmark. When I was four, my family moved to Australia and we lived there 7 years where I acquired English as my second mother tongue. Upon returning from Australia, I went to an international school and completed the International Baccalaureate Program at Nørre Gymnasium where I was exposed to a culturally diverse environment.

I’ve played semi-professionally football (soccer) for HIK and Lyngby FC until 2006, where I decided that I would rather focus on a professional business career. I’ve now taken up playing golf, and although I’ll never be the new Tiger Woods, I enjoy the game with my friends.

Doing business while doing good

Editorial about how brands can benefit from engaging in strategic partnerships with relevant social causes that match their target groups. This gives them the opportunity to produce original and emotionally driven content that supports their emotional selling proposition, which ultimately, leads to a longer lifetime in the consumers awareness.

Save the Danish League XI team (Ligalandsholdet)

Together with Stefan Pflug and former Danish international Mikkel Beckmann, we launched a campaign to create awareness about the importance of the Danish League XI team (Ligalandsholdet). The campaign outperformed our expectations and was covered by Danish national TV (TV2 - Go'morgen DK), over 10 national newpapers and blogs. Within the first few days of the social media campaign, there were over 100.000 views, 300 likes and 50 comments. The website delivered over 500.000 impressions with a CTR (click-through rate) of 0.25% and over 5.000 visiting, averaging more than 4 mins pr. visit.

KidsAid Across America

Presentation of KidsAid Across America and one of the most successful digital fundraising campaigns in Denmark - leading to over 750.000 kr. in donations.

KidsAid Across America was more that just a bicycle tour. It was an opportunity for the participants in the tour to challenge themselves, put themselves outside of their comfort zone, and do something good for sick children in Denmark. The participants became ambassadors for the project and a community aimed at improving conditions for children in Danish hospitals – and provide them with unique experience to help them escape from the challenges that they face everyday.
